the easter egg design

Ever since Google Maps introduced their new design, I’m frustrated. I just can’t find the features I’ve been using for years. I know they are somewhere, I just can’t find them when I need them. Facebook is like this too: there are options and features I know they are there, but I just can’t find them. Then one day, I click on something and… aha, there it is!

I’d like to call this kind of UI design, “easter egg design”: If you know how to do the weird dance, it’s there, if not… keep searching.
